FINALITÀ
The goal of this course is to introduce students to the reading of the Historical Books and to investigate their over-arching narrative content in order to uncover major theological themes contained therein and to explore the development of those themes taking into account the historical context of these books.

1. Introduction to the Historical Books. 2. Reading the Historical Books within the Jewish and Christian canons. 3. Exegetical and theological reading of selected texts: a) From life to death: Reading Joshua to 2 Kings. b) Grace and new life: Reading 1 Chronicles to Nehemiah. c) Heroes of the faith: Reading from Tobit to 2 Maccabees.
